Fort Point is an amazing place to shoot. There are always boats, reflections, rust, and people around to take pictures of, and all with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background.
(Fun Fact: Did you know that the Golden Gate Bridge is so big that it is constantly being painted.)
I tend to shoot a lot of city landscape without a human subject in frame at all. One of the things I really wanted to try out is a city landscape with a close-up human subject. On this particular day, I was trying out my 10-Stop Neutral Density Filter for the first time, so I was able to do long exposures during the day. My roommate and brother graciously volunteered as my models for the day.
Capturing light trails is one of my favorite ways to shoot. It is fascinating to me because you never know how the shot will turn out, and it almost never turns out the way you intended, but they are almost always cool!

The Marin Headlands offer so many amazing views and photographic opportunities. Anytime I am showing someone new around San Francisco, I make it a point to take them to the Headlands.
Astrophotography has always been something that I wanted to get really good at, but it takes a lot of determination, often staying up hours after everyone is cozy in their beds in freezing temperatures. Living in a big city makes astrophotography a challenge, but every time I am able to get out of the city, I make sure to snag a few star pics!
